Who needs a chocolate bar when you can have some of these???
The caramel, chocolate and touch of salt with the crackers made these a huge hit with the gang. The calorie count is low — if you can stick to just one serving. It reminds me of a homemade chocolate bar. 15 Minutes to Prepare and Cook
Ingredients
Saltines – to fill the baking sheet (40 fits on mine). I use the whole wheat ones.
Butter (do not substitute), 1/2 cup

Semisweet chocolate chips 2 cups
Directions
- Line a greased baking sheet with saltines (salted if you use unsalted butter, unsalted if you use salted butter).
- Melt 1/2c butter (only butter!) and stir in 1/3 cup of granulated sugar and 1 tsp vanilla extract.
- Once melted spread over crackers evenly
- Bake at 350degF for about 8-10min until sugar caramelizes.
